Kenya pilot in progress

Endocrine intelligence for anticipatory health

EndoMatrix Labs builds hormone-aware sensing and decision support systems that turn longitudinal signals into interpretable early warnings for prevention and planning. Starting with women whose symptoms have been dismissed, measured, or missed entirely.

Women's pain is tracked in episodes. We track it over time.

Health systems detect hormone-related risk only after symptoms escalate. Years of endocrine variance that signal future disease go unread. We change that.

61%

of hospital deaths in Kenya are now from non-communicable diseases

of people with diabetes in Kenya remain undiagnosed

longitudinal hormonal datasets exist for women in Sub-Saharan Africa at scale

"During episodes of debilitating symptoms, women plan to seek care — but once relief comes, they focus on catching up with life and postpone until the next episode. This loop repeats indefinitely." Pain-Relief-Delay Loop — discovered in 15 Kenya discovery interviews

From individual insight to population intelligence

A platform company. Each product is designed to stand alone and compound together as evidence and partnerships grow.

Building now

EndoMatrix Core

Personal endocrine pattern interpreter

A mobile-first web application that transforms daily symptom logs into interpretable hormonal patterns. Core includes a built-in cycle tracker — users log their period and cycle data directly in the app, or link their existing tracker of choice. Daily symptoms are then anchored to cycle phase, letting the system map pain, energy, and mood to specific hormonal windows over time. Over 30 days, the system surfaces cycle-phase patterns, escalation signals, and the "I finally see it" moment — building a structured record users can bring to clinical conversations.

  • Built-in cycle tracker — or link your existing period app
  • Daily 3-input log: pain, energy, dominant symptom — under 60 seconds
  • Symptoms anchored to cycle phase, not just calendar date
  • 30-day insight: when symptoms begin, how they escalate, what clusters together
  • Clinic-ready summaries users can share or export
  • Future: wearable device and hormone patch integrations in development

Sentinel

Endocrine intelligence at population scale

Once Core proves individual clinical utility, Sentinel becomes the population layer. An endocrine early-warning platform that de-identifies and aggregates signals into cohort risk trajectories for public health programs, primary care networks, and insurers.

  • Hybrid sensing: SMS/USSD plus optional wearables
  • Privacy-preserving aggregation and alerts
  • Cohort risk trajectories for county health programs

Care Pathways

Action, not dashboards

Workflow-ready decision support outputs for primary care and community health networks that translate endocrine signals into follow-up prioritization and low-cost prevention before complications escalate.

  • Follow-up prioritization and outreach lists
  • Interpretable early warning flags
  • Aligned with Kenya's Social Health Authority framework

From signals to anticipatory care

01
Sense

Women log a small set of daily signals — pain, energy, dominant symptom in under 60 seconds via app or SMS/USSD. Optional wearable proxies increase signal confidence where available.

02
Learn

The system learns each person's individual baseline — their endocrine fingerprint and detects meaningful drift from it, rather than comparing against population averages that erase normal variation.

03
Act

Interpretable pattern summaries help users anticipate difficult days and articulate their experience clinically. At scale, de-identified cohort signals enable health systems to intervene earlier.

Built from lived experience. Designed for dignity.

Treat cycles as signal, not noise

Women's hormonal fluctuations have historically been excluded from clinical baselines. We learn individualized patterns and distinguish normal variation from meaningful drift.

Build for digital exclusion first

SMS/USSD is a first-class channel, not an afterthought. Anticipatory insight should reach women where they are, not only where connectivity is strong.

Close the signal-to-action gap

We don't produce dashboards that sit unused. Every output is designed to support a concrete next step for individuals, clinicians, and health programs alike.

"We start with women because cyclical and life-stage endocrine transitions create clear longitudinal patterns and carry the largest unmet burden in preventive care."
EndoMatrix Labs · Founding Principle

A world where endocrine transitions are not dismissed, and where early physiological drift becomes a trusted signal for prevention.

Grounded in discovery, not assumption.

Every design decision traces back to real conversations with the women this is built for.

Key research insight

Discovery interviews revealed a pain-relief-delay loop: during debilitating episodes, women plan to seek care — but once symptoms ease, life catches up and they postpone until the next cycle. This repeats indefinitely. EndoMatrix's low-burden, continuous logging is designed specifically to break this cycle, keeping the signal visible between episodes and building the longitudinal record women need for clinical conversations.
